This was the very first time I was able to meet sweet little Piper. I was so amazed at how teeny this baby was! Seriously, my kid must have been gigantica baby because I NEVER saw my child as small as little Piper. Megan reached out to me to take their family portraits and I was honored, I love when friends I know like my work, and when I can show them a bit of me through the process! Other than the fact that there were mammoth sized mosquitoes taking over, this session was wonderful and also eye opening to me in a few ways… When I got home to begin the culling and sneak preview process, I started to notice something that I honestly don’t see in many sessions. Megan and Nolan were smiling, not just, “ok one.. two.. three.. SMILE” smiling, but truly, honestly and genuinely smiling. When they laughed at one another for the ridiculous things we discussed, or the fact that Megan may seem “short” but she walks like the fastest man alive, they were REALLY laughing. I’m wondering at this point if I’m even making sense anymore so I’ll quit while I (may be) still ahead. All that to say, it was a joy to capture… well, joy. When I look back at these, that’s what I see, it’s so obvious that they both have such a God filled joyous heart, and that is exactly what I am so honored to capture. So here’s a sneak for y’all. Enjoy!
